Remembering My Sons Mother
(A Thousand Miles From Eternity)

Remembering when I first met you
Beth in the church prayer room.
We had a beautiful conversation
before you left way too soon.
I couldn't believe you
were so nice to me.
I had never met a woman
that attracted me so totally.
I loved every word
that you said to me.
I remember thinking, where
has she been all my life.
She a beauty queen wanting
someone to share her dream.
Me a solitary man wanting
to live a dream.
It was hard to see
what she saw in me
but I wanted to be
her chosen one.
And I was for awhile,
so I thought,
and in my heart
she's always close to me
even though physically
she's a thousand miles
from eternity.

James, this is filled with sadness, some sweet remembrance, and some heartache. You're a wonderful soul and a tender heart and anyone would be a fool to leave it.

Dear James, this is a sweet and beautiful, even though melancholic remembrance.
