In the space between moments

An Autumn Dream

I walk with you
Beneath chrysoprase leaves
Just beginning
To tinge with amber

The autumn day
Pulls twilight around its shoulders
A mimicry
Of your arms around me

The rustling of trees
Stills for a moment
As we close the space
Between us
Lips brushing lips
Silhouettes melting together
As the shadows grow deep

The golden grass
Entwines with my hair
While your tender hands
Traverse my skin

…Only the night watches…

We remain together
Soul pressed to soul
Until the first hint of morning
Finds us dew kissed.

Much love to all of you, I know I haven't been around much.I hope you're all well.

Hi, stranger! Enjoyed your poem very much! What was curious is that I just bought the most beautiful piece of chrysoprase and then I see that you used the word in your poem!

Hey everyone!  The ghost alwye has returned! I've missed you all!  Life has been so hectic lately.  Yeah, I've got the love bug pretty bad...new guy and it's at that new stage where he's all you think about...anyways, thank you for all the wonderful comments, I appreciate it as always.  I'm going to try hard to pop in a little more often.

(smiles) And ain't this one chalcedony of a poem, sweet friend, you make autumn more than just chrysoprase but amber, rose quartz, and so much more with your poetry! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Krista, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
