so where’s the poetry
asked a friend
a gentle question of inquire
a result perhaps
of my disappearances
mysterious as they seem
like dark into streaks of black
rather like shadows
into the night

so where’s the poetry

nowhere, I guess:
not visible to say the least
they seem to be hurt
by these grim days
of recession

words seem stranded
yet feels like they are
tied tight like stones
by taut strings
and they are lacking sparkle
by endless repetitions
of helical thoughts

yet it is
the nature of this life
to spring news
in the monotony
of daily routines

yet children continue
to play their games,
to laugh in joy
to fall on the ground
to cry in pain
to dance
as they
     twist
         turn
             clap
                 cheer
constantly move

and all I can say is
thanks, my friend,
for remembering
that a few words
have been missed

I'm glad to see that you're around again (I am too!).  Exellent poetry, as always.  Keep up the great work.

Trust Sudhir to find a beautiful dimension, and to write it with flair. Well done, my friend.

Sudhir, of course your words would be missed!
I am guilty of same, I'm afraid - disappearing, then reappearing is if by magic!

Keep the poems comin'!
