Here I am again -
choking on the foot
I’m getting good at shoving in my mouth,
spitting out thoughts
faster than my brain can filter them.
Another attempt at verbal suicide.

There you go again -
turning your back
to drown out what I never wanted to say,
walking away
from something you asked to start.
Another photo op of your back.

Here I stand alone -
tripping over words
that you’ll probably never hear,
hoping the wind is on my side.
Just wanted to tell you I love you.

Things always do look clearer when some time has passed. Don't you just hate it when you can't seem to find the right word to say. Then later it seems to come almost like a formula written for success.

Communicating with the opposite sex has never been my strong suit and I've had to wash down many a nike with some nice warm attonement for things poorly said.  Nice read.

"turning your back

I've been there.  Well-expressed.
