Her spirit dwealt along a corridor
then hid behind an apartment 4 door
it came and went as it pleased
spirit for a body long deceased
but not malicious
hardly suspicious
whatever a lodger might bring to his room
notwithstanding what air would fill a vacuum
the air of spirit that died discontent
the air of a matron who wept as she went
now a permanent member of a household turned hotel
tell me how century old spirits occupy these rooms so well

Spirits come and go,  one can associate them only with Hallowe'en but I can write these all year round...maybe I'll do just that..and these are friendly!
