Picture by Josephine Wall

* * *

We share a part of our lives
Every time we sit and write
As we expose our deepest thoughts
And give others an insight

The written word holds many powers
And they can cause a heart to melt
As they orchestrate our feelings
So many emotions can be felt

Words often have the ability
To make us reach for the sky
But some words are filled with sadness
Which can make the reader cry

A picture can be seen
Right before your very eyes
Words of love and romance
Cause one's heart to grow in size

I am forever the romantic
From my heart and soul I share
So let's embark on a journey
And let my words take you there

* * *

"The words of a poet
can speak volumes
'tho no words are actually spoken
He has the ability to make
a connection with the heart"

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Sue:  Whoever said "The pen is mightier than the sword" really knew what he was talking about!  Your poem proves that all over again.
