"I'm destruction,
but lovingly"
she teased,
yet her eyes
tasted no humor --
only the clutter
of too much thought.

What could I say to that?
This poem, in loose rhyme
and more syllables than necessary,
is the best I could offer up
in response.

She took one look
at the line the letters made.
"Like a river," she cooed,
before stretching on the bed.

The poem fell, single-paged,
to the floor.
The windows, too,
seemed to cascade.

then there was silence......

And the angel said unto me, "These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots!"

(laughing at Liz) love it when she is speachless..you never know if it is because she didn't like it, or was just blown away by it....

me personally... I think it exhibits those qualities we discussed earlier...

Mike, you've out-done yourself with this one! I truly loved it! The narrative style, the imagery, the pulling in of the reader and saying, "See what I see! Feel what I feel!"...
