A Thousand Poems

I wrote a thousand poems to thee
Filled with castles filigree
Some up, some down, some like a clown
But never one upside down

So here I stand upon my head
My feet are cold my face is red
And still the poems spill out the floor
And all still rhyme of my adore

In this wake, my tides desire
I wash your feet with my admire
And tell you more then once a day
I love you still the same old way

Right side down or right side up
You are the well I dip my cup
And will forever be the dove
That rhyme’s forever of my love

So spread your wings and fly to me
And I’ll stand right side up for thee.
