I had intended this to be my last poem on this topic, but I couldn't let go. see "Mere Rhetoric"

I want to send you poems…
Of love and light and laughter
And then after…
when I’m done…
you’ll come back on the run

But I’ll still send you gems I find…
Works of love and grace
From the soul’s and minds of those…
whom I think know God’s face

Because I must write about my pain
Work this crap out ‘til I gain…
what?,  I don’t know
But when I find it…
It will know me, own me, show me…
Peace, for once and all time

I can relate to this.  I don't know what I hope to gain from writing poems.  Especially those that are not read by the person for whom they are written.  Perhaps it's a search for understanding of my own feelings?  I don't know, anyhoo, wonderful poem.  Mucho gusto!

I think the hardest part is letting go
by writing hopefully the pain will outwardly flow
