Alight soft wisdom in my ear-
means of route shift by light.
The green fly quells the red flies flight,
the one to tell me what to write.
And now I curse a light. A light!

Alight soft wisdom in my ear,
alight soft kismet, raconteur.
Mine country for a light!
One to write by every night
that somehow fades the wifey’s sight
so wakes not
wants not to be caught!

And from the queen’s cold livery,
I beg my thoughts delivery-
but stowed up in the tower is.
I’m told by ever hour is
a poem that slumps from a tree
to the queen’s cold wineries.
Grape juiced from the pulsing heart
though, through time we’re far apart.

Hiding by computer light
hurried hunches must be right.
I type and type without much hype
to deliver anon the baby wakes.
No light. No light of any color
could make this plight any duller.
So now I know of what it takes
a soft light from a fairy’s mouth
should I only sleep and listen
maybe then I’ll gain the wisdom.

Concider this allegory. The process of writing a poem is like bringing a new person into the world.First the decision then the conception. Then we carry the developing poem in the womb of our mind. After a period of gestation we bring it into the world with varying levels of labor.Go forth and multiple my good friend. You have given birth to many fine poems.

I really grinned at the flavour of this poem.  "A light!  A light!" reminded me of the Rime of the Ancient Mariner.  The imagery is also compelling, unreal and fantasy-like, especially the faerie at the end.  The result is a very cute manipulation of language into a tongue-in-cheek poem about poems.

You're a great writer and it was nice reading from you after fasting for so long.  Thanks for the opportunity, keep up the wonderful work.
