What kept me here? I do not know
I only say my feelings show
when caught by court in deep despair
while soulless eyes just stop and stare.
It wasn't court that kept me there

What kept me here? Why could it be
my love for child and family?
to share their lives both bleak and drear
and learn to taste the hint of fear.
It wasn't them that kept me here

What kept me here and made me stay
in hope to find a better way
lift children trapped in deep revile
to hear their voices, see them smile
this kept me for a little while

What kept me here these many years
to share in laughter and those tears;
what made me strive and try again
when all my life was filled with pain?
relating well - my joy, my bane

and yet I know it was not pride
that held the fear of fail inside
it was my friends who showed they care
who shared their laughter and despair
who showed the way without a flinch
and taught me hope could be a cinch
it was these folk who kept me there.

But here's the truth within my song
I was too tired to move on

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

so you are retiring...

You have a big heart and that is what kept you there where needed.
Any update on your grandson, Keth?

Amy,
I didn't know you were a social worker but I should have guessed. Thanks for your caring heart.

Maureen,
My last day was yesterday, I am flying across to Adelaide on the 15th. There is a specislist, specialist appointment (no I'm not repeating myself, he is a world expert) on the 22nd after that it is the decision about surgery and where.
So not many changes but hope on the horizon.

(big hugggssssssss) Child protection is NEVER something that involves a price, "protection" is a verbal noun, and it is time we all offer "protection" rather than being "protected" (sad sigh) My hart and prayers go out to your grandson and I pray he will find the best doctor who believes deeply in "protection" and give him the full coverage of love and hope he needs, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
