Silver and gold, precious to hold
both of a sparkling hue.
Rose of the red, tickles the nose,
as does the lilac blue.

Treasures are held beneath the sea,
beneath the brine and foam.
Finest of jewels, ever sparkling
away from pirate’s roam.

Shining bars beneath glinting stars
in pale of moon in bloom.
Mercury, Earth, Venus and Mars
entrapped by a comet’s plume.

Lovers in wait their chosen fate
upon the sands of time.
Hands upon the latch of the gate
whispering songs of rhyme.

I love this, Barry...

I am very much enjoying the beauty
that is springing from your pen of late.

Just wonderful, my friend...

love of power the world will know peace.

Made me smile Barry.  The thought, if not the reality.
