“this has such a nice hand to it”

Draped as it is
A silken flow to contour
The curves in even more
                                 An enticement
To pull patterns and sew together
Perhaps a bit of dream
             Or maybe just to float
In the lazy easy way
Of something bias cut
Across the top of your shoulders

Leaving neckline open
So in slight bend at waist
It reveals just enough
That thread is not frayed
                        Knots hold against weave
And I remember….
“If cut right, it moves with you.”

This bolt will do….

I’d know the jealous touch
Of what tailored for you lies against skin
Hidden
             As if regret had stolen
The desires within

And ask you

Does it fit well
Or shall I take it in

You have to keep doing this don't you?  Just when I get your poems all numbered in the order I like them in my library, you go and throw me a curve ball!  Darn this is my latest favorite now.  Martie knows I am a sucker for using silk or material to describe us "human beans" and our feelings.  Absolutely incredible - how on earth do you do this?

Not only do you weave words well,
but you have knowledge of a bias cut

your eye misses nothing...

good for us.
