Suffer my heart to understand
silent beatings of midnight
a tiny bird in palm
mid-flight waxing
waning
Beneath eye which shines
for me
us
As the tide
ebb-flow slide
upon sand
littered with
letters of love lost
and found
again

Within you , I have found home

My berth
a safe haven
Nesting my last trip
tip of wing
safe
within your freedom
------------------------------------------
James Lee . . . thank you for the inspiration
The first line belongs to him . . .

"As the tide
ebb-flow slide
upon sand
littered with
letters of love lost
and found
again"

Turning
as they do
in that gentle breeze

Revealing themselves

To be nothing less
than whispered promises

And nothing more
than hope...

Susie, you honor me with this, as you do in all things.

Love,
Ed

You should talk to Mr. Lee much, much more often... He has given you the inspiration for a beautiful  write.

What more can one ask, then for a place to call home?

Especially, when that nest lies within the heart of your beloved...

This was beautiful Sue!

Now you two get busy gathering up more twigs and such...

Those chilly nights will be upon us soon...

I know this came from a place inside you that you share openly, called love.  I think you couldn't have written a more delicate poem of "knowing real" if you tried, and I sure applaud you on this write.
