I can remember when I was very young
I woke up one morning and my father was gone
He disappeared for six years of my life
And it cut through my heart, just like a knife
No word wether he was dead or alive
I can remember when he left my brother was just five
Mom didn't have too much to tell
All I wanted to do was scream and yell
Then one day out of the blue
Who should show up, guess who
My father acting like everything was okay
Never saying why he went away
Wanting to rebuild our relationship
Never asking if we wanted to take that first trip
So we built the love between us once more
Only for him to stomp it on the floor
Shattering our world right in two
How many times could he do this, what should we do
Our father has never been the nicest man
But as hard as I try, I still love him, I can
The bond between us is no more
For now he's made an unsettled score
He hurt us in the worst way possible
He left us all alone
To wonder what in the world we did wrong
For we were just young children at the time
With hurt in our hearts and tears in our eyes

Damn....this touched me.  Responses too.  You deserve better, I know.
And I realize how wonderful a father-daughter relationship can be...
because I have one.   Larry.

It breaks my heart what you and your siblings were put through. Abandonment can affect every aspect of one's life. Children believe they were abandoned because of something they did, or that they are unlovable. It is so tragic. It must have been devasting to have taken him back into your lives, only to leave you yet again! I can only imagine the trust issues that you have had to deal with.

Now that you are older, hopefully you will see that his leaving was about him, not you.

Sending a rainbow of healing lights to you all.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Crystal, I'm so very sorry you had to face this neglect as a child, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you and I believe no child should ever be abandoned and those fathers who do I pity so very much and find that despicable! (wipes tears) Know it was never your fault for you are a very loving young woman and with your brothers you will grow rich with love and strength always, I send angel comfort hugs your way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Crystal, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Linda:Thank you. I know it wasn't because of me, but he caused me many problems throughout the years. Now I've become a more caring person because of it.

Noah:Thank you. He's caused me many pains over the years, but without his pain I wouldn't be  the person I am today.
