Saluting with misty eyes

0 posted 2003-10-03 12:17 PM

You tend to sit alone
And watch the world happen
To those around you
As you pretend your thoughts matter
To those of us living
You make judgements
You decree our thoughts
Pure and heart-filled
To be errors
You feel that we are dull
Not bright enough to decide
For ourselves
Unable to see truth from fact
Ours from theirs
Comcerned more with power
Given so easily
Yet worn with inane thoughts
Words, Thoughts, and Lives
Famously and religiously held
Yet still we need to be told
Why, Who, and Where
A thought not agreed
With your scattered mind
Becomes suspect in your thoughts
A subject to be flaunted to the world
When a thought between equals
Should be kept between men
Our thoughts given
You are respected that much
Yet our thoughts are misused
Mispoken for your gain
You think you have the right
When all around question
Why do you think

You have got to love politics, eh??

We are all equal but we’re individually different
and able to reach the impossible if we try.

that's why I don't pay attention

i hate politics.  Nice work, I can tell you put a lot of thought into it.  Shame politics isn't as easy as poetry

as usual
you speak your mind
in poetry . . .
Politics, eh?

loved this

Concerned more with power
Given so easily
Yet worn with inane thoughts

(this is very well written, Brad truly)

so very truthful

(big hugggsssssss) I believe very much in political activism, even when I don't like to talk about politics and talk simply about love! (sad sigh) Sadly here are leaders, even here in the U.S, who are ruling without love and that is why I feel I must write political poems and speak my views, for if I don't I feel as good as dead, and to live and speak is the way to truly live! Am I ever going to be a politician, no, because I don't want to sit next to a group of liars, but do I want to express my opinions? Yes! I love your thoughts here, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bradly, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
