Obscured Perception

You could strike me blind, the soft of the black
folded ever so, to cover what is real,
allowing my imagination to blink insight,
the feelings perceived when hands are guided
and minds are reaching the obscured.

To protect the privacy, I would succumb
to the anonymity letting fantasy take over,
yours in the making, mine for the taking
although senses would have to feel
what my blindness secludes on its own.

Intimacy suggestive, the folds holding
peaking eventually to a common bond...
of which I am obliged, cuffed to your existence,
edged only by the sounds and touches
of each breath, as you close in on me.

M

Well I was thinking Ron, if someone wanted to blindfold me, take me to "wherever" and let me enjoy their company through all senses but sight, although I would be seeing through my fantasies and feeling through theirs...how would I express that in a poem.

Awww shoot, truth is I was just having an
e-mail discussion with Lori and the thought entered my mind...and I had to put it to words.
haaaaaaa there you have it

and Karilea, I am sure he could write it and do it even more justice as I am very inexperienced at making fantasies come true.

hugssss you all...

yes, M, I read into it the experience you described..and was teasing you about blindfolds and games..lol.. but the point that we depend so much on our sight so much to evealuate things, being blindfolded forces you to depend on senses you might not normally pay as much attention to...

there is a story in that whole premise, that while already written many times, seems to beg the question" How would I?" lol... but this is open and there is something about a persons eyes at certain moments one truly is blessed to see... covering them seems a shame then...

you wrote it well my friend..and I doubt I could write it any better, and probably would not be able to write it clean...lmao

and I was worried if mine was clean enough, although my thoughts weren't ... waiting for the moderators to pull it...

Yes, I believe the senses are heightened when sight is blinded...even if only temporary.

And I also believe the eyes say it all. I was just trying to touch a nerve...guess I got yours *s

Thanks for the reactions. I needed a lift today...energy is not in my vocabulary  except for my fingers doing the walking and my mind doing the talking...and me  doing the stalling of what needs doing. Got it???

(sigh) Somehow when I feel someone is blind, that person's sense of feeling and touch is stronger than ever, for to feel joy, sorrow, and laughter is truly the greatest gift of life and to not see and feel it is remarkable! (big hugggsssssss) I love the passion of this, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
