Time grows short
I wonder of my feelings
Am I pulling away?
trying to make it hurt less
when you leave

Or am I truly changing
how I once felt

Maybe to admit my feelings have changed
would be an emotional death
for wouldn't it prove
that it wasn't real
thereby proving
that I am incapable
of anything lasting
anything complete

I wonder what will become of me
I grow confused

I feel an emptiness
yet a need to escape
from something I am not sure of
to something I can't see

What will become of me?

One thing I have learned, too well and too recently.... you can't make it hurt less by trying to prepare yourself, but you can make it hurt more, and sometimes the pain of trying to impose a change on yourself is not needed at all.

(big hugggsssssss) What will become of you is despite this adversity and the tears that may result, you will soar, grow stronger and richer in love and majestically run forward in new found joy! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, I send many angel hugs your way to guide you through this time, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

in relationships, it seems that so often we are willing to accept the pain of a known quantity to the unknown pain of loss, grieving, healing, etc.  this affirms the doubts inherent in breaking free of ... very nice

Susan...Great write. That next step is a hard one, but one you must make in order to break free from the past, even though the past is only one step behind you. Take Care...Paul

"What will become of me?"

You'll be just fine, though it may not seem like it right now. As cliche as it sounds, time does indeed heal. I'm living proof.

Face this fear head on and instead of running you'll be able to embrace yourself. You are a sweet spirit that deserves the world.
