*Poetry only so nothing to panic about.

Wrap me in the night
let stars cover me
I would be lost to sight
within their endless sea

Hold the cloak of dark
and wrap me in its care
for I have left no mark
except for deep despair

Steal the sun away
to nevermore be shown
and leave me cold and grey
for it is all I've known

Tell the stars to burn
and hide behind the veil
for I can't live or learn
but seem to always fail

Don't let dawning come
but wrap me in the night
I am in parts no sum
and gloom is my delight

The darkness is my friend
and I can hide within
unto the very end
of night I'm dwelling in

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Oh my gosh, Kethry are you okay ?
Whew ... you have me SO WORRIED !

==========================

How stunning is that image and personifi...very cool!!

Some muses just feel more comfortable dancing in the dark. Melancholy cadence looks good on your pen poetess Keth.

If you wonder why the earth moves ... this is me missing you."

Hey Keth

This is a dark one alright. I'm glad it's just poetry. We've had this talk before.
There's a lot of intense emotional expression here but it's written so well..

"Steal the sun away
to nevermore be shown
and leave me cold and grey
for it is all I've known"

Good expression of the subject.
Would never want anyone talented like you to be so down.....I'll cheer you up at the picnic!!

(big hugggsssssss) I did feel melancholy poignance reading this but I also felt comfort, believe it or not, as I truly believe the darkness should be our acquaintance because if we learn from it, then nothing seems to take us down! (sigh) I send angel comfort hugs your way, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I know just what you mean. Not everything you write that seems so dire means you are sitting on the brink...it's more like thinking out loud to hear what it sounds like. Well sort of. You know what I mean, right? Well I think so anyway. you can feel things pretty intense but it doesn't mean it's the end of the world, and most especially if you've tread those stormy waters so many times before. I know just what you are saying in this write. I loved this. Good one!!!
Love,

Kethry, how nice it can be to wrap yourself
in the comfort of night’s solitude
Finding solace, in all things nocturnal

Lucky for us, we have a dark time of the day
Even luckier, the other half brings light

Sweet dreams Kethry, and have a pleasant tomorrow!

Beloved one, the wrap of night, I love it, I empathise, I love the structure, the flow and the subtlety. Empathy with the thought is one thing, to flow in the same river of thought is another, for who can say if the rivers current would carry me in the same direction. This is excellent use of language beloved heart.

As for panic, yes of course I am, witness me here with the phone in my hand. (Admittedly I’m only contacting publishers and begging them to take up the options before you get too talented for them to afford.) I on the other hand am rubbing my hands in glee at the prospect of you earning me a pretty penny. (Although why one penny is prettier than another is I can’t possibly say). Now beloved mush, mush, while the muses are bubbling go and write, its time to crack the whip again. (This job is definitely affecting me, why do I have visions of studded leather and racks?) Whatever, go and write some more.

Love you always
and forever
Mushy

suthern,
did I ever tell you when my husband and I were first married we loved camping...I guess you could say we were two in-tents.
