Ever since our “becoming”
I’ve said the same things
in as many ways as I could

And what happens now
that I’ve run out of words?

When I’ve said all I can
with the tools I’ve been given?

Do I, then
engineer an alternate alphabet?

Populated with letters
made from stronger stuff

Consonants…

Forged in the fires of resolve
and carved
from the Earths’ own marble

Lending them the spine
and weight to bear my thoughts

And vowels…

Formed from tempestuous winds
and Springs’ swollen torrents
giving them the power they require

But, even using this
elemental new alphabet
to spell the same tired words
would be scant improvement

A new language is needed

One, where the words themselves
are distillations of emotion

“Longing” could be portrayed
as miles lived and years traveled

“Desire” would course with the same
seething blood that drives it

And yet

There would still be no pictograph
Or string of characters that could
Contain

“This”

"In looking Northward, I see a light"

Oh my, Ed...

I absolutely adore this...it's gorgeous...

If I didn't know better, I'd think you
were a man in love...grin.

You two are priceless...I love ya both...

love of power the world will know peace.

(big hugggsssssss) "This" can never be summarized and every time one stresses to do so, one never does "this" any justice as opposed to "that", where it then becomes valid to renounce the characters! (sigh) This is marvelous, sweet friend, I absolutely love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Wranx, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

yes, my friend, you are so correct, but then comes a time, when you make things happen, for yourself, forgetting the desire, but fulfilling the power of allowing, and being so transfigured by love....freshened and happy within for her, for yourself, for where you've gone, and what you both can accomplish, even if not together, you were given something very valuable to grow on...allow it to freshen and baptize your soul heart and mind.  Loveing her so very much that you would allow her happiness, whihc in turn will compliment your life, sending you a shower of profit someday.

A tremendous write, very well done

I often wonder
what soul,
far past the midnight hour
bemused
such conception
as the written word
Forged to be spoken
as if it could actually convey
breath exchanged
from mouth to neck
and lung to life

They sit around me
in droves
like a marketplace of emotion
such creations
books
and yet, I have no use for them
anymore
They once held meaning
flipping through pages
of pronunciation and definition

Now they read as a foreign language

I often wonder
if this same soul
the moon a constant companion
knew the meaning of feel
It transcends common thought
and abounds with grace
everything which I am
and hope to be
for you
and I
eternally

I have lost sight
I do believe
to the language itself
and now have found
within you
an undiscovered train of speech

I cannot write
nor speak it
but as sure as my blood flows
like a raging river
and my lungs fill with breath
I feel you, my love

And that, indeed
is a treasure in itself

Eddie, you have graced me once again
with your words . . . felt
unspoken, resounding within
my soul . . .
which has become your own
For this, I thank you
and can only say what seems so hollow
in this mad quest for logic
(which is mute)
that I love you
and between us
we know
exactly what that means

Good Morning baby
What a beautiful sunrise
I have shining upon me

Susie

both your write and Sue's reply.

Ed.....A poet aches for the words, but sometimes they are just not enough.  I love this poem and the beautiful love that you feel.

There is no more beautiful poetry in all the world than LOVE itself, which flows so openly in the words of love you both share with us. We are unbelievably lucky.

thank you

I could scarcely breathe reading your words of love, Dear Wranx! You are a master poet and I love that mind of yours!

And BTW, Susan must post her poetic reply! It is definitely one of her best! It is stellar! It seems to me that love has made you both shine even more brightly!

Love to two beautiful souls,

Like you could ever run out of words! Dear brother of mine, your facial expressions always says it all. And Little Wing should post that last writing to you. It was magnificent.
