Mists

It took a moment to see through the mist,
Forcing me then to open ev’ry door ~
As a shadow left on me one lone kiss;
It took a moment to see through the mist.
T’was then I knew, that poetry exists,
As one would find when tramping high, cold moors.
It took a moment to see through the mist,
Forcing me then to open ev’ry door.

~*~

Doors

Each door then opened upon a new view
Even rooms with windows that lead to stars
One, then another, vast vistas so true
Each door then opened upon a new view ~
And I, a writer, stand in awe, subdued,
Watching captains and kings, poets from afar
Each door then opened upon a new view,
Even rooms with windows that lead to stars.

~*~

Stars

To pluck a pure star, to give, then, to you,
Not cold, but bright, like a very small sun.
Spotting them through mists, counting them in dew
To pluck a pure star, to give just to you
To know you’ve a friend in skies of dark blue
There are so many, and I am but one
To pluck a pure star, to give just to you,
Not cold, but bright, like a very small sun.

~*~

Sun

In rondo of tune, sailing round our sun
I leave you the mists, great doors, and pure stars
For a poet’s writing is never done
In rondo of tune, sailing round our sun
That you might now know, we have just begun
For within poetry we hide our scars ~
In rondo of tune, sailing round our sun
I leave you the mists, great doors, and pure stars

~*~

To all the Poets at Passions ~ Never quit writing!

How can we dear lady.....You feed our fires
and fill our inkwells....   You lay upon our
hands...most gently...our quill.....and
whisper a word or two within an ear as we
dream...

A four leaf clover, I found.  Lucky me to read this one!

Whoah...you knocked me off the chair with this quadruple play! Fours all around? 40,000 posts, 4 poems in one post.

This is AMAZING!  Hmmm...Can you tell how much I love this?

Congrats on hitting the big four-oh!

Hello Karilea

You have encouraged and inspired me (and so many others) since the very first day I came to PIP. You have done so much for me and I wouldn't know how to begin to thank you.  I was so very moved by your stunning words and I felt very emotional as I read them.  I speak for many when I say that you would have to be the heart and soul of this warm and cosy place we call Passions.

"Happiness is something
that comes into our lives
through doors we don't even
remember leaving open"

Take care my friend

Sue

P.S. Congratulations on your 40,000th post,
such a marvellous achievement that is to be applauded.

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Well, this is a beautiful trip through poetic inspirations.
You have a way of making one feel at ease when exposing some of those hidden scars......
Very nicely done....I know your poetic works will never be done....

very nicely done K...
there are many types of doors and many people to open them..or show them to you and let you open them.. poets seem to point them out.. and perhaps help us understand what may lie behind them... but it is always up to you whether or not you do... so... this speaks of the writer as much as the ones who open or show us doors..and the doors themselves..

Special Triolet Reading For Sunshine's 40,000th Posting Day
by Mysteria

Ahem, ahem ...

A triolet, a triolet,
I don't get it
but I'll get it yet!

Looks way to hard,
way to hard,
I'll just stay in my backyard.

You do with ease,
oh such ease,
Each is always sure to please.

As you can see,
can you see?
I did 4 triolets my way for thee

Now stop that! Stop that Sunshine!

What? what? 3 lines sounded like a triolet to me? (Trio - 3 - get it?)

Congratulations Kiddo ~ Enjoy This Day!

Dear Lady Karilea, it is with such honor I read this and say thank you to a very expressive and magnificent poet.

To pluck a pure star, to give just to you,
Not cold, but bright, like a very small sun.

A beautiful gift that I know we all accept with grateful hearts.
