If i was one of the seven trivialities
to make and save
count and be counted
when im cut
only money will pour out of me
torrents of rain
turn to blood in a handshake

i loosen my ties
to find im still awake
my thoughts
more man than beast
machine than design
capture than release

sex i call to you
call someone quickly
the bends and kisses
never healing
and often missing
i believe in belief
and if it wasn’t for this night
i'd be a willing throat

and would you be my brother
would you be my butcher
once i took your hand and guided you
now do the same for me

Fragments are my sentence
i know there will always be more

shovels
with their axes
wires wear their watches

Once a gentle man paid for my after birth
Took it hard but it all makes sense
should be grateful
some of never know what we're worth

as i end
i tasted time
it did not agree
many things one can do with tongues
how can solitude exist among the trees .?

no longer afraid of the dark
       or mid day shadows
nothing so ridiculously
     teenage and desperate
