when you go out,
the room gets colder
when you grow up,
the world gets older
in your eyes,
I see great nations
i'm right here waiting
anticipatin'.

Inside of me,
doubt takes hold.
inside of you,
other things unfold.
close your eyes,
to hear me breathing.
and whisper softly
"i'm not leaving."
