Mystic thought
a duet by Kethry and Marsha

Our lives are so brief, a flicker of time
But if we're lucky our time's sublime
We wade through an ocean of hope's dream
Dressing our lives with wonder unseen
If we lift our eyes from the dark and drear
We will learn what we have to fear
Too often that which burdens our soul
Buries our lives in a deep dark hole

our lives are so brief and none of us know
when it will be over or where we will go
we wish through each day in a dream of sublime
and pray we will have just a little more time
although much too often we're buried in mire
it doesn't take much to lift our sight higher
our burdens condemn us but help us to grow
and thus it is always and will ever be so

Our thoughts are our own to help us grow
But too often we deny what we need to know
We nail our feet to the road we walk
And deafen our souls with senseless talk
But if we heed the silence we will see
That hope lies within each act of charity
Gifting our hearts with love's true light
In heeding its touch we can shine bright

in shining brightly our feet float on air
in caring for others these lessons we share
our thoughts are our own and enclosed in this shell
we rise up to heaven or go down to hell
sit still in the silence, till all is revealed
and we shall discover that we can be healed
we prosper this moment and hold onto time
grasping and hoping to gain life divine

Our souls seek release from sorrow's pain
But sometimes we seem to welcome its reign
It's as if we don't realise who we are
Or that within our souls there shines a star
We dim our light and lose our way
We shut our eyes and then seem to say
I give in, I cede, its too hard to do
Then wonder when we can't get through

our souls seek release through things we all do
while wishing and hoping that we will be true
we hear of this calling yet stay in the mire
striving to rise up but held by desire
while we are inspired by what's good and what's true
and yet we're confounded by all things made new
we look to the stars to seek what's within
and always we're waiting to redo our sin

Our lives are just wisps of time you see
But if we trust in hope we'll have eternity
eternity's ours we're promised this much
if it is unsullied by our human touch

Marsha and Keth

Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds
but I can face the future with courage brave and bold

Marsha and Keth:

the two of you walk in the light . . .
this is beautiful:

We nail our feet to the road we walk
And deafen our souls with senseless talk
But if we heed the silence we will see

so very true and a lovely resounding
choir of angels
