Could You Learn Me?

I am afraid
of the dark
did I
ever tell
you that
my eyes
don’t seem
to adjust well
and I need
to reach
and find
someone there

I know it well. And the brighter, stronger your day, the darker the night seems.

I would love to learn you
and help you to see
through the veil of the darkness
when night falls on thee

But you needn't search the blackness
to find your beacon there
for the light is within you
and you surely shine there

You're a gifted poet Helen with a warm heart.

I'm afraid of the dark too, but the mere absence of light holds no terror at all, not for either of us.

(big hugggsssssss) I too hate the darkness and I send many angel hugs your way, sweet friend, I believe it is important to be acquainted with the night yet not get absorbed in it, as life is for living and not studying profusely! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is powerful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I like reading it, it seems to flow very well. The need to know someone is there without seeing them is a strong emotion.
