A BUTTERFLY FLIES FREE
I WONDER WHAT THEY SEE
FLOATNG SO PEACEFULLY
IN A FIELD, ON A TREE
THEY FLY SO WONDERFLY
THEIR SENSE OF TOUCH IS KEEN
THE ONES THAT ARE SEEN
THEY ARE SO COLORFUL
THEY CAN NEVER BE DULL
THEIR THE ONES THAT TURN HEADS
THEY CAN BE GREEN OR RED
THEY CAN BE ORANGE OR WHITE
AND FLY WITH LOTS OF MIGHT
A SEVEN DAY LIFESPAN
WONDERFUL LIVES THEY RAN

Believe it or not, sometimes
there are some dull butterflies...
until you get very close, and look
very carefully, and you begin to see
them shimmer...

Lovely, Chelsea!

Chelsea! What a lovely surprise to see a poem posted by you! Not only was this a soft, soothing, beautiful poem, but it was informative! I hadn't realized that the average life span of a butterfly was only seven days.

I like how you transported me skyward and seeing the world through through the eyes of a butterfly. I imagined myself flying on high and looking down.

Simply lovely, Dear Chelsea!

Loving hugs,
Earth Angel

This was so pretty. I finally found someone else that says poetry is pretty. Give me a high five! I enjoyed this very much. Keep it up. You are doing great. If you would like I will try to find one I wrote about butterflies about 2 years ago when I first started writing. It's really one of my favorites.I would like to share it with you! That's if I can find it.

I'm not quite sure why it was written in all CAPS, but a welldone piece nonetheless.

Good flow and pace setting, and vivid imagery.
