The Poet’s Table

Feed me
She, in whisper of the wind, so spoke
Sustain my soul
With parchment dry
Where black thoughts rest inked
That spirits fly
And dreams, live on
                   As parchment leaves flutter by

Let me walk along the lines
Where greater minds
Have stood the test
And I, alone,
Stand with the best
Uncomfortable though, that
I am here
But ‘twas where they placed me
Once, my dear
I set table with testimony of indigo blue

Feed me
                   Whispered she, Come, once more
To he, who beckoned at the door

We are but withered, loving ghosts
Searching still
For our Host
Something led us
Here, to you
Feed us just this once,
A poet’s brew
                   I fed them both a poet’s stew

Then, the voices that exclaimed the night
That I might regain
A thought, supreme
To lay before
A most solemn being

That I am allowed to be here,
with you, to transcend their lives, accepted
To permit, let rest, in peace
A muse, or two, who naps
As he and she have sustained my ease.

We come as we are to bring potluck to poet's table...a banquet before us, eyes and hearts to feast upon an assortment of finest cuisine, offered to us by master chefs. I thank you, Sunshine, Ron, and all the wonderful poets for welcoming my little girl to the poet's table.

I am so proud...

This is a wonderful poem, Sunshine - and you surely SHOULD be proud, Patricia.  Chelsea, you've written a wonderful poem.  I've asked Ron to fix your post for you - He's got magical powers - Let's see what he conjures up...

truly this is what it's about.  We have something to share, and in so saying, we stand with the greats, if even for a moment.  Not in self agrandizement, but with gratitude and humility.  Thank you for writing this.  Peace, Joe

and let the feathers flurry fly,
that we might gleam a moistened eye.
That we might touch a wan'dring soul
upon the bell's ring at the toll....

For from the toll of weathered bell
shall come the strike upon the knell
and in this clasp a spark shall touch
two hearts,  new writes...

both loved so much!!

(does happy dance) Oh Karilea, I am so happy I found Chelsea's poem, sweet friend, it is a blessing to have more young poets join this golden family and express their own melodies, as we continue to paint rainbows together and muses candy-coat them with citrus sugar! (big hugggsssssss) I can't wait to watch Chelsea grow and mature and blossom and watch her poetry speak many harmonies, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
