Jezebel Eyes
~*Marge Tindal*~

Scalding cries from Jezebel eyes
full the tears-in-shed
Strange how heartache comes around
when another turns his head~

He looks with eyes that plainly see
the termagant that you are
Scarlet is the letter etched
in his visions now from afar~

Yours were eyes of idolatry
for one not willing to wear your wrath
Dry the eyes Mz. Jezebel
another victim soon will cross your path~

Smile a smile ... puesdo-sincere
let the light dance in your Jezebel eyes
Rememember to keep equal footing this time
so as to lofty pedestals of praise
this one will not rise~

*Sometimes (if you're lucky) it's just a POEM*
Brought to you, courtesy of that impish little dark muse, Blesaka~

~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost,
the spirit rejoices over what it has left.

The language that you use to catch such a powerful emotion is beautiful Marge.

You've done a nice job of catching the essence of this individual from the Bible.

Ooh, this is a tricky one to read - layered and layered with meaning.

I like this - it's a different kind of voice from the one I'm used to hearing.

Hugs!

Dear Marge:  Jezebels usually do get their just desserts, in time!  Great poem!

Now see, it has always seemed to me that Jezebels just got desserts.

An interesting write.  I have met this lady many times in many guises.

I hope you don't mind me commenting, even though I'm not one of the gals.

Yep. I think we all have met this Jezebel a time or two. In fact I have two poems about this jaded hearted person. I have one that I will post it's called, Romeo has a horse called Jezebel.
Good one
Bon-Bon

Thanks Bonnie~
It's a strange shade of green that glints in the eye of a Jezebel, for sure~
