The Key

I found the door to wonderland
The key a flower in my hand
Aroma bathed me in its bath
And sunlight lit a rainbow path.

This world was filled with birds and bees
Lovely trees with bright green leaves
Folds of gold dissolved the night
With colored hews of magic light.

My eyes filled up with tears of dew
This loveliness of dreamers view
It made me bow my head in prayer
The beauty of this world I stare

And then I cried in dark abide
I knew this view was just outside
But tarnished with a film of need
Covered with an acids greed

We all dream dreams of heavens best
We’ve turned away what heaven blessed.

Ah, Seymour, wise words this Saturday morn. We do take the wonders just outside our door for granted. Well done!
Enchantress is visiting me this fine day, so we have the English Breakfast tea and toast with orange marmalade already! hugs from both of us, Chris & NancyLee

There is such a consistency of lilting beauty to your pennings~

Again ... this one is savored~
The rhyme encapsulated within the rhyme is such a joy to read~

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Seymour, it is so very sad but true, the heavens are too grand and we can make purgatory just as heavenly as possible but many are choosing to make it borderline to hell! (sad sigh) I pray for all our children, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

It is sad how we've let the earth go and how human greed has taken over our souls.

Well said.

It's frightening to think we may have lost the key already to go back and repair all we humans have destroyed. Though it is easy to find beauty in most things on this earth, so much is beyond repair.

Definately a thought provoking write here sey. into my library.

sy,

this poem will stay with me for a long time to come! Your words could not have been
more true or wise. We are often looking
beyond the beauty we already have at our
fingertips. We are often hoping for the
grass to be greener on the other side,
all the while missing the magic we already
got! this was wonderful.
take care.
