I wish I knew you years ago
as a girl with golden hair
running through fields
waving your jelly jar
to capture a firefly.

I wish I knew you years ago
as a young woman
long legged and blond
straight and proud and daring.

I'm glad I know you now.
You are kind and classy and sexy and fun.
You say you are not good at relationships..
I say relationships have not been good to you.
Perhaps you kiss frogs and not princes.

I wish I knew you years ago.

Wishes are but a waste of breath, be thankful, and it seems you are.

Always look forward, never look back, dreams are much more refreshing than regrets.

I don't think the current description would fit... but I remember such a girl... wish she still existed. *S*
This leaves me sad with what-if's... but greatly appreciating the work... well done!
