Lingering Melodies Of Love
~*Marge Tindal*~

Expertly the fingering lingers
long after the loving tune
Soft the hum of gentle strum
Babe, you play me oh, so well
Can you tell ...
I love what you do ?

~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost,
the spirit rejoices over what it has left.

I'm smiling big here...you wouldn't believe what
I wrote today...or...perhaps you would.

You and I are on the absolute same wavelength...
right down to the lingering fingers.
And?...the title of mine is 'Play Me...'.

Love this, Marge.
Hugs,
~Me

I really liked this poem for special reasons. I'm a professional bass player and I've come to realize that people are very obsessed with my hands. It's a psychological relation to the sensuality of creating art and then using those hands in an intimate encounter.

Last week I was watching a show on Oxygen (Yeah, I'm a guy and I watch Oxygen. Hey, I'm secure in my masculinity :p ) in which a lady spoke about hands being sexual objects. She made an analogy of someone making a business deal on the phone with his hands, and then those hands being all over her later that night.

Wow, guess Freud* was right. It all relates back to sex. *LOL*

Oh, he does know....be assured of that. No way he couldn't.

Guitar is the instrument of love, you know. No accident that it's shaped like a woman's body. It's easier to play, but that's how fantasies tend to be....though unlike a woman, it does leave a man with calluses....

Sweet lingering sounds conveyed very lovingly by you, dear Marge.

Hands ARE magical instruments, sharing divine gifts indeed!
