Revealing

I reveal my seasons as time
brings to view the means of me
and I shed the leaving of memories
that can no longer fulfill,
the extremes of the love and the passion
once felt, years in the making,
taking only moments to lose.

The hauntings follow my words,
quotes seeping through the truth of tomorrow
unseen, unfelt, my heart trying to open,
making acceptance the only term to which
I subscribe and the only commitment
willing to draft in the flowing words
that form daily, reminding me that
there is more to life than wants and
that my needs are modest though lacking
and that when I am overcome in senses,
it is time that will reveal all.

Time lessens the hurt, time eases the pain
and with or without words, I am present,
here for you, challenged by each new day,
never empty because I carry my dreams inside
where they rest, until they can be wrapped
and ribboned, gifted to share with another
when time reveals a new season...
and I bare my soul again.

M

Powerful write, and these words touched the most as a girlfriend once told me, the most difficult part of mankind is accepting things, as they are, not fighting them, but trying despratly to find value in all things.

Sending hugs and smiles your way.

A very touching write. It shows the many seasons of your heart and soul and I wouldn't want to miss even one.

hugs and thank you
Maureen

LeeJ, not fighting them is sometimes very hard to do and I have finally learned my lesson, because it doesn't help to get you anywhere. I love that thought... to find value in all things.
hugs and smiles
