Black Widow Poet

Silken threads shimmer
in sunshine's pure light
Such intricate weaving
an artist's delight
Moving in closer
it's beauty is clear
Yet danger is lurking
should you get too near

What could it hurt, just
an innocent touch
You try to hold back, but
temptation's too much
Helpless you struggle
and try to break free
A prisoner of passion
forever you'll be

Black widow poet
has wrapped you in rhyme
As hourglass echoes
the passing of time

~Vicky L. Raynes

You're amazing Vicky. Your poetry too, of course. I absolutely love this....

(smiles) Oh Vicky, though I do get careful when being around spiders, I love spiders (my mom and sisters get freaked out about them always and scream "Noah, do something!", LOL!) because they are gorgeous artists and I don't kill spiders when they're around the house like many people do because I feel they are special just like every other creature, but simply put them in a jar and let them crawl free outside where they can get to their art again! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderfully expressive poetry, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Vicky, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

A prisoner of passion to be sure!

But for how long?

Sometimes after mating, they... EAT, the husband widow... uhh spider... widower spider?...
ahhh... you know what I mean, right?

Well, I guess there could be worse ways to go... (!)

lol

Terrific write, as always Vicky!

And a very interesting and unique topic!

Great Work!

Enjoyed the flow of this and the message...what is life without passions, which are dreams, which could very well be our reality in the next second of our lives.

Lovely write, thank you

I live near the water so I live in spider heaven. I call my car a the Spider Mobile or a traveling spider web. Every morning I sweep down the porch and by late evening the webs are all built up again. They certainly are a busy lot.
Good poem.

love the passionate embrace of the web of wickedness. Loved the poem and the subliminals.
