Tell Me

where do
wingless birds fly
I hear them echoing
across the sky
and do they feel
they are less not more
an unrequited
wind’s heart in soar
where does love go
when it sleeps
as we press to our soul
secrets we keep
for if we just utter
a single sound
we would come unraveled
where we are bound
maybe it is time to
uncurl by just one thread
what can survive unspoken
now need be said

"I am living a life, i have no wish to live. How did this happen?" Unknown

Answerless questions abound
'round all of us!
VERY well expressed!

'Tiz feathers that make the bird -
Always remember to keep them fluffed
but, never, EVER ruffle them!

I like the way you express it ehre and wish I could tell you, but I'm probably more lost than you.

I am glad that Ed bumped this as I had not had a chance to see it.  Helen!  This flows in thought and rhyme perfection.  Very well done and such deep questions,
topped with the perfect ending.
enjoyed greatly.....

Haunting....I can't imagine such a request, and from such a one as you, going unanswered.
