El'Nino

The Sun is radiating and pulsating with a dry deadly heat.
This beautiful green earth is being burnt and scorched into dry and desolate
dust.
They say it is El’Nino
Or!
Could it be
“Man?”
Man pollutes the air with carbons and gases,
but says.
“I cannot change, the cost is to much.
I cannot make a profit if I correct this error
I have made.”
An oil spill, wild life in danger the ocean too.
Man says.
“I did not realize we had a problem, besides-
I cannot change my freighters it will cost to much.
I cannot make a profit, I cannot correct this error
I have made.”
Man puts toxic waste in barrels that rust and leak.
He says.”Bury these defective barrels of death and destruction.
Who will find out if we do this in the quiet of night, besides-
I cannot change, it will cost to much.
I cannot make a profit, I cannot correct this error
I have made.”
People starving, living in rat infested buildings
or living on the street.
Man says.
“I can’t help that the people are poor or have to live on the street.
I cannot fix these old buildings it would cost to much.
I cannot make a profit, I cannot correct this error I have made.”
Strange how man does not want to account for his actions.
For he says “He cannot change.”
Since man cannot change it must be
El’Nino.

We've seen too many changes in the last 40 years, haven't we, Bonnie...

my mother-in-law is 94; my grandmother is 92...

can you even imagine what changes they have seen?

Give me blue skies...

Dad died in '88.  Mom, in '92.  In '91, she wasn't too happy with the way the world was going.  I had never heard her talk so against the world...  I've noticed, lately, that folks, when they are getting ready to "go"...start talking even more about what is wrong with our world...and I think it is their acceptance that if God can't give us something better, then they are just going to let their hands lift up...

you and me?

We're still holding our hands OUT...to hold the rest of them UP....

know what I mean?
