Listening to every heart

Postponing Inevitabilities

This
is the dust-ridden road
waiting for the imprint
of your feet
and mine.

We either take it
or we do not

there’s no turning back
nor veering left, or right…

do not hide your eyes
by looking for the honeysuckle
or trumpet vines,

and laze not with the gentian
or cornflowers,
do not hide in their blue, again,

for it’s full bore, straight ahead,
damn the torpedoes
[add your own cliché]
believe it or not

but

if I vote “go”
and you vote “stay”

do we then
cancel each other out?

And fade away?

Love this...oh my gosh i love this...And the picture...Yanno, it's funny...I immediately found myself trying not to look down the road!

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

Oh my, Karilea, I would hope that we all choose to
go down the road of life and face things head on....
not hiding or lazing along the way. Just so, we are
determined to have an open mind, but still not waver
from our convictions. And, always keep love and patience
in our hearts for others.

Goodness, SunshineyOne, I didn't mean to get
started and to go rambling with it.
Hugs to you,
Ethel

You spoke to me...Me, the one who has been hiding behind excuses I know the world would accept.  I better stay on the road now and face what is ahead, after all I chose to whip a U.  Does this make sense to you?

You kick butt, you know that?

go or stay is not important, what is important is enjoying the moment and you have so helped me to do that.

That is exactly what happens.

(sigh) Maybe the best option would be to stay another hour or two then move on, that way everybody wins and you get to know the surroundings and place you stand! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, everything is inevitable, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

"Batten down the hatches"

Good write Karilea, some things for careful consideration in this.

Not at all, Sunny One. What is fated to happen, intended and not by us, that will happen. Just as it would if we both chose the same.
