where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2003-09-25 12:49 PM

I hold the most southern part of the pacific
in a jade bottle that sets just above my bed..
In the corner of my bookshelf, that holds
centuries of knowledge that isn't my own,
untill I've read it
and made it so..

It waves for freedom, begging..
Must wildlife be set free if it causes me such joy?
I ponder the truth, the existance of such creatures
as a whale song puts me to sleep.

Such a tiny, yet distinguished nature pulls
at me through tumbling words
and second-hand souls.
I cannot be so selfish as to wish myself a god,
nor can I control the eating of sacred and
untamed flesh.
This is the manner of the beasts that conquer
the earth, the population of inhuman creature.

Not only bottled ocean, but snow globed wolf,
to howl at the moon within it's prison.
I do capture the essence of life, or the sun
that outshines me..
I wish for habitual night.
No candle could burn the instinct of the mother,
for the wind that screams in her voice
may steal this sparse light.
This thing, that helps me to draw in the
consistant circles that hover as crow
beyond me.

I no longer see a meaning, or reason,
to enquire whether or not I am a pitfall
for survival.
Eventually, all must be set free,
although for now I keep.. I study,
the lyrical value of life..

The fact being, imprisonment is a neccesary
part of being..
But also, a reality most of us are unable to handle.

For perhaps, it is I who is in this jade bottle,
being investigated by the fish.

I want eighteen bookshelves bursting with your books of poetry, even if it's 1,000 copies of the same book.

Okay, that's a little silly.

But I love the pome.

Ohh Meg,

Damn this one should be in the book
where were you?
Truly in awe
and got me thinking about
a bottle I have with dirt and sand
from Kauai . . .

love how you see life
through your own eyes
and that of the unknown

Amazing writing

(sigh) Everything should be free, but to some extent, we are all in this together and we should let free even when we know we are still fairly trapped! (big hugggssssss) I love this, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Meghan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
