Dedicated to all the poet friends I've met

Not a single day went by this year
That I didn't think of you my dear
Every night when preparing for bed
I think of the fun and good laughs we had

I came to meet Nan and Marti first
While Nan was working we quenched our thirst
Marti drank coffee and I a cold beer
Beginning of friendships started right here

There was Liz, Denise and Ruth_owl too
Still feel the hugs Liz, I got from you
You're in my heart sweet ladies of rhyme
With you lot I've spend a marvellous time

Took a break for just more than one week
Nobody knew where I played hide and seek
Drank Whiskey Sour as I used to before
Went fishing on boats and had fun galore

Up in Deland I've met Marge and Bill
Promised to send him an elephant, I will
Down came Marsha, Kethry and Krissy
Along came Maureen, a delightful Missy

Gave Deer Dutch knuffels, met lovely Fran
Enjoyed our Texas Nan's rhymes by then
I'm sure I've spoken to Suthern on phone
And even our Seymour did not come alone

Isabel...LOL, she's Isabel you know
And on poetry night we all had a go
Finally came Lyra, our Chipmunk so sweet
David had brought us his treasure indeed

From each poet I took a memory you see
And layed them down quite near to me
Then when Sun sets and I'm going to bed
I look and remember the good times we had

Thank you all for giving me those precious memories

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Titia darling one, I can still see your smiling face, when we finally arrived in DeLand. Blame krissy, Keth, or Little Mo, but don't blame me I'm innocent, truly.

It was a magical special time, despite the hours we spent travelling to and from Tampa, and let's face it Krissy loved that airport, I wouldn't change a moment of it. Your writing simply sings with the delight that we all found in you darling one. I love this, thank you for the wonder that is you.

(smiles) Oh Titia, I am so happy that you have gotten the chance to meet all these wonderful poet friends of ours here, sweet friend, I too wish I could meet you (or anyone here on Passions) someday, and who knows as anything is possible as I would love to meet you and all my friends here! ...and I remember a Dutchie dancing around the pool, eyes closed, arms held out, lost in the music in the air. There were so many special memories shared and I treasure every one of them. Knuffels to you, Titia
