state of confusion

The Boys Inside

maybe who I really am
is the crazy homeless lady
endlessly circling the beach

the woman who cracks dried seaweed
with elephant-tough heels
and pees on tourists’ towels
while they press white bodies
against cold surf

laughing inside my mouth,
she mocks young joggers,
yelling “ugly” over and over,
legs pacing thick in the sand,

perhaps she wants me to scream
at the boys inside her head –
hands over ears to shut out the noise
as they merge into one voice
saying

go to the waves
go to the waves

damn well knowing
she can’t swim

Cor... this grips..and speaks to the bit of madness we all have inside..

but before you go to the waves.. look around, I for one would try and hold your hand and talk you out of it...

great writing... as usual...

I'll remember this
in about eight weeks
and think of you,

The Poetess.

Ron -thank you
and I would take that hand.

Poetess, what do you mean, dear one? What happens in eight weeks?

Gentle Spirit, thank you for such kind words.

Corinne

(big hugggsssssss) I think we all have these moments of chaos emotionally deep, it can be quite unusual to see where such instances lead you sometimes, as though you're walking on slippery ground or thin ice! (sigh) This is deep and poignant writing, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Corinne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
