Can The Heart Be Heard

can the heart be heard
if not a word is said
will someone listen
to the small cry from within

can the heart be heard
if its silently breaking
will someone be there
to help it mend

listen to the heart
hear what its saying
help heal the hurt
that the heart is feeling

can the heart be heard
amidst all the yelling
will someone reach out
and lend a helping hand

can the heart be heard
inbetween all the crying
will someone be there
to gently dry the tears

listen to the heart
hear what its saying
fill it so full of love
that its overflowing

the heart can be heard
if you listen
and here is how to help stop
the heart from breaking

all you have to do is fill it
so full of unconditional love
that there is no room for
any emptiness inside

the heart can be heard
if you just take the time
treat it gently with care
and wrap it up in love completely

so listen to the heart
and hear what it is saying
fill it so full of love
`til there is no room for any emptiness inside.
