I can feel it coming now
Like a distant prairie wind
Across the nape of afternoon
In the drowning of a hymn
Played like the chainsaw
On a ribbon in a tree
Touching to the tender
Unarmed heart of me

And I know that there is lightning
And I feel the press of air
I can smell the bliss turned angry
And the opening act of flair
Sing it to me baby
Past the sky I feel the need
For my restless legs are dancing
In my arms your storm can feed

I could feel you here Martie,
and yes, I feel so much the same things.
I especially liked the press of air!!!

Aww but time goes by so slowly, and remains so still~

Some times I feel as though I could
scoop Autumn up into my arms as well Martie.
Beautiful write..hope you had a wonderful birthday.

(smiles) Awwwwwwwwww, you made me feel as though I could hold autumn, sweet friend, deep in your heart and imagination where the little girl in you will always sing, you can always make this happen if you believe! (kiss on cheek) May many golden, apple cider and pumpkin pie sweet blessings fill this season for you, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Aye, lass -- there should be more in your arms than a bundle of fallen leaves. And will be at the wave of your hand, I suspect.

Happy autumn hugs to you, fair lady!

I understand this well....never fail to be moved by one of yours, and that particular image carries such drama for me...

You never fail to lift us up, never fail to give a new perspective.

Martie, this is soo good!
It could be used in Webster’s,
as the definition of poetry!

It’s inspiring, stimulating, and
even spiritual, all at the same time!

You really are that gentle calm,
smack dab in the eye,
of the hurricane!

I’m so glad to read you,
once more!
