Love In Many Forms

We talk of love in many forms.
Love reaching into our shattered hearts
and warming us from the
cold and damp of the unfriendly outside world.
Love filling us with untold happiness and security.
A feeling of safety and warmth
that we have never known before.
Love of nature
and its fascinating beauty with its different
sounds, sights, and glorious fragrances.
Love of many different gods’-
Money, power, fame and infidelity are just a few.
Love in its simplest form
is the sharing of your umbrella
with your tiny friends.
Picture a gentle rain coming down.
Beneath your umbrella
in rain cap and little boots,
surrounding you with love,
are your friends of the woods.
The baby squirrel
dressed in his favorite color of bright yellow.
The baby mouse dressed
in his favorite color of bright red.
The other babies
of the woods dressed in blues and greens
are dancing around you merrily.
The flowers lift their faces
to the rain and smile while they
sing and rejoice.
This scene I describe is a picture of love and trust.
Wouldn’t it be beautiful to see this in our lifetime?
Love does come in many forms.
