I have counted grains of sand
And stars as they in the black
Let their light belong to you and I
Knowing the numbers were too large
For the time we had
And too small to show the feelings
Explained by neither.

I lay here now,
Watching the rise and fall of your chest
As you breathe the same air I do
Yet are in some world where dreams
May feed you fresh
The fruits of summer
That you taste with the half smile
I have seen when I enjoyed your lips
And you seemed

             Amused

I am a fool it would seem
To feel the desert’s heat as I do
When in truth the seasons change
And a chill comes now at night

There is no wisdom in the heart

If your eyes should open to me
And my watching be revealed
Would you sigh of pleasure or
Would it be as if you were caught
Running in the loose dunes
Each step to move forward a struggle
In clinging sink of understand?

I count again the sky…
            Without reason to wonder
But with hope
Someday
                          I’ll be your sigh.

There is no wisdom in the heart

~*~

Aye, we only fool ourselves into
thinking there is...

Well done Sir...very well done.

the heart cannot count
the ephemera of dunes
nor fix the light
of stars

and half-smiles are so disarming . . .

"There is no wisdom in the heart"
my head agrees...my heart protests
(does it deceive?)

...you always write melancholy with such
insight and beauty.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Ron, I have missed reading your wondrous poetry and am happy to be reading it again, sweet friend, I believe everyone would have to half-agree that there's no wisdom in the heart, as I also believe we should half-agree saying there's no wisdom in the mind when dogma can truly be a bear trap and incarcerate beyond the truth! (sigh) This is most deep and wonderful writing, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Oh My Ron, this is breathtaking
Beautiful, passionate writing
It reminded me of William Blake
"To See the World in A Grain of Sand"
beautiful . . .
(foolish creature, may I add
if she does not become the sigh
itself)
*smile*
