I could drown within the waters of ambivalence
Welling to the surface as undiscovered country
The spoils of war, fought upon another shore
Would I become the frail and frightened charge?
Empty of the games that seem to loom so large
Sweeping from my feet into the victors sweet
Drinking down the brine, a tea of pure moonshine
My fingers strangle in awards of swords
An untied lifeline

Somehow shipwrecked, beached upon an island reached
Carrying the boundary lines, and buoys tied together
Parched articulation sunburned in the deepest contemplation
Crying out into the surfs, a bottled note to unknown turfs
Signals crossed and lost into the fathoms of a squall
Tenderly I know the sound and bound my voice into the call
Would you see the same in someone else’s claim?
Or simply kiss the hand that you so blindly now dismiss
Or hold me close

Arid skies, much richer in the tear denies
Keynotes flecked on speedboats bumps the plane
I am calling out your name, into the wind
Clearing you a path, dusted from the aftermath
Clean to slip the sandals of a prince, a sun block’s wince
And given time, the real love of my life sign
Cast away, into the bottom of the bay
Asleep where all the catfish play
Or here within my arms

Somehow, this seems appropriate to float back up towards the top, given the recent duet by Magnus and Cpat Hair.
