Etched in the illusion of time

0 posted 2003-09-21 08:55 PM

Imagined.

reach
my midnight angel
heaven is in your hands
star-stained eyes
color of the waxing moon

Believed.

quiet now, beloved
keep your aroma near me
like a thousand celestial promises
oh my soul
sing for this lover
bestirring salt from the ocean
woven in my hair

        (Don't speak, fair Muse)

poetess distilled by her own writings
she lulls passersby
with her intoxicated expression
finding companionship in jasmine tea
leaves spreading twixt papers
dreams
unencumbered,
gently disfigured visions

to dance.

lingering
and seeking
something

out of her coffeehouse door

huddled in dark corners
where the moonlight slants through
pale, even shades
of transparency

she is haunted and beautiful
striking points of perfection on a flushed face
eyes pierce mahogany stares through
her unknowing victims
thoughtless inspirations hurrying by on aching feet
hassled by the heightening eve

each thread of their mortality holds a secret
she knows..
everything about you.

hushing the sounds of a reverie
taking shape
silenced pens
peaceless preoccupations within a world
fashioned through souls

Wrinkled.

sweet Virginia,
watcher of a graceless society
oh-

Torn.
Hastened scrawling.

your calling is in the twilight air
crisply undiluted by ebony delight
whilst night steals all its glory
shamelessly
'fore morning can whisk it away
so sigh, contented writer
there will be other times
to bottle the ecstasy of life

Folded.

she is everything she'll ever want,
since these words are all she needs.

For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.--"Romeo and Juliet"

(smiles) Awwwwwwwww, I love the narrative feel to this, sweet friend, this could almost be a scene in a Hollywood drama with someone cherishing the nostalgia through handwritten gold! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Delightfully refreshing read!
A most creative, narrative write!
Looking forward to reading more!

This was a very good write. It pulled me in and for some reason at the same time reminded me of the song Mett Virginia.Nicely done.
