 Phantasmagoria Disco (Go With The Flow) By: Noah Eaton 9/20/03 Godspeed, Gesundheit Up and about, down and out Cucumber cold, jokes got old Honky-tonk chop-chop Boot-cut means, Bermuda shorts Aluminum tiaras and turpentine forks Exophthalmic visions, stoic lectures Fiddle-faddled toffee, extreme measures You love it, you adore it You want to be defenestrated I've been here, I've been near I've been around making it clear And you're falling too fast, too short Figuring out what all of this is for... Took a succor-punch, denied a shark-eyed glance Your blood feels frozen all a sudden, miles aghast You've come a long way since the fold I told you so, I played the round, I took it slow... But hey, this is the time, this is the place It is now, it was then, this has come, that has passed away Scratch the surface, clean out the dish Annoint another coat of Turtle Wax, feel the wisp You love it, you adore it You want to be defenestrated You've been recreated, reincarnated Turn-downed in this turpitude turnverein And you're falling too fast, too short Figuring out what all of this is for... Tutti-frutti Tuscan order Scratch my back, I'll scratch yours Razzle-dazzle rat-a-tat tat Coup d'oeil, and that's that Pushing the needle through, breaking the habit Fancy fanatic pulling from the hat the rabbit Throw away the amphetamine, go with the flow Take the floor, and join the phantasmagoria disco You love it, you adore it You want to be defenestrated Throw away those bitter pills And rehearse the same journey through free-will Cause you're falling too fast, too short Figuring out what all of this is for Now you breathe it, you believe it You want to be rejuvenated All the colors passed through you too fast And no one ever encouraged you You fell too quick, too slick Wondering whose yellow hat this is... Interesting stuff, I like the onomatopoeia and alliteration throughout. And what can I say about 27,000, I've been to a lot of other forums but have never seen anyone quite as prolific as you, or for that matter a majority of people at this site. Keep writing. |
