I wrote this for a friend of mine who met this precious little girl and then adopted her. I see a little girl sitting alone. With no one to care or no home. She hasn't had a bath in days. No love has seemed to come her way. I ask where is her mom or dad? She hangs her head and looks so sad. My dad left a long time ago. And then we had to leave our home. Mom and I, we lived on the street. Nothing but strangers did I meet. Mom became very sick one night. Then I was filled with so much fright. I hide as much as I can. For there's so much that I don't understand. Would you let me try and help you out? Let me show you what life's about. The she put her hand in mine. And we walked together in time. I took her and bought some clothers to wear. I showed her how people could care. Then she went in and took a bath. And I swear I could've heard a laugh. I called to take the steps to keep her with me. For she was a precious child in need. The process wasn't easy, but I towed the road. To make this wonderful child my own. The day she was given to me. So many tears that I couldn't see. And then she showed me that beautiful smile. And I knew it had been worth it all the while. God had given me an angel from above. An angel to give all of my love.   (big hugggsssssss) Oh my gosh, now I'm flooding in tears because this is soooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I cried envisioning this sweet little girl in despair and without someone to love her and then a loving woman, your dear friend, reaching out to her and crying with her and the little girl saying to her "You are special to me, you feel like a mommy to me!" and then the woman proudly asking her if she would love to adopt her and then the little girl smiling in tears! (wipes tears) God Bless your friend and the little girl, sweet friend, I am so happy their paths crossed and now the girl has a wonderful sweet home and someone who truly loves her, your wonderful writing is always angelic, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Crystal, thank you for sharing!  May love and light always shine upon you! This is very touching. This reminds me of the poem I posted not too long ago about the little girl I was counseling that wanted to forgive her birth parents for abandoning her. I have seen lots of suffering with these poor little ones, and I applaud those that adopt them or even just provide foster care. I wish there were more.. very nice poem. ~ becky |
