"Be kind. For everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle" Plato

Webshots Photo

~*~
No truer words have been written
I hope these we will hear
If we would only stop to think
we may not cause a tear
On this lifes path we trod
when we meet someone by chance
Circumstances in their lives
we know not at first glance

Some people reveal lots of things
about their present and past
Still inside themselves
secrets seem to last
Situations too hard to speak of
deep inside their heart
Even though they want them gone
they never seem to part

Some go to a counselor
or maybe even two
Trying to release their inner turmoils
wondering what to do
No matter how many times
someone may try to confide
The  THING  inside their heart
never seems to subside

Putting on a happy face
but feeling anguish and pain
Thinking if they talk of it
what would be thier gain
In my future days
in all the years through
I will try to be kind
and will you please try, too

Will you, my friend
do this simple thing
I know if we will do this
each of our hearts will sing
Knowing we may have put
a smile on another face
Not adding more hurt to ones
in their inner secret place

Plato said, "Be kind. For everyone is fighting a hard battle", I read.
To me, my dear friends...some of the truest words ever said.

I so agree with you here. That's why I feel it important to let each individual let out whatever is in their heart to share (god or bad). For if it helps to enlighten their heart and release their hurt then I would gladly take an ounce of that fromt hem. This is wonderfully written and excellently expressed.

This would be beautiful even if I didn't know that your kind heart lives the words... as it is, it's a lovely reflection of a caring heart. *S*

Plato had it right, and so do you, my friend.
This is one of your best, Ethel.
Wonderfully penned, and as always, from your heart.

I totally agree....and we all do have these
things....some we conquer,  some we battle
from time to time,  resurrected once in a
while....

Excellently written and very thought
provoking..
