“JUST THIS DANCE”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Slipping and sliding on down the road,
hitching me a ride to who knows where,
perhaps I’ll end up at your door today,
sing you one little song of mine to share…
It’ll be a good one of that at least I’m sure,
how about if the melody is in whispers,
as I strum on some of the softer chords,
ones that get deeper inside, the teasers…
There I go again playing on that soft Guild,
it tends to do things romantic it seems,
like taking on a mind by itself, all its own,
especially if it’s at night in sexy moonbeams…
One has to be careful when the fingers play,
with those six strings for they enhance,
I bet they will bring you to a tender embrace,
wanting to hold close for just this dance…
(smiles) Oh yes indeed, especially with someone with a golden heart like yours that offers unconditional faithful love! (big hugggssssss) May you strum those F flat blues and bring your love into endless smiles, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Noah Eaton
I'd think that possibility would have the lady smiling. *S* Like this very much! *S*
Bill...I just love the musicality of this beautifully romantic poem. I could almost hear the soft sounds of the guitar strings as you play out your heart. ***Ivy Rose
May I join you with my Gibson and we can dance our fingers together?!?--on the strings, that is! lol
Enjoyed the energy and the beat of this poem--and the subject matter!
