When you turned seventeen
I got really depressed
I miss braiding your hair
and picking your dress

As a child you were funny
but always polite

Having children was my love
my life
my sunlight

I realized I'm done
having babies of my own
and cry because
I'm going to be alone

Raising you was a delight
I just wanted it to go slow

I have so many good memories
watching you grow

Your sister noticed
I seemed sad and pretty cold
I told her I just wanted
more babies to hold

Realizing your age
came as a total surprise
You grew up so quick
so good
and so wise

Having Grandchildren
is the answer for me
Just give me one
Either, a he or a she

My great love for you
you won't understand
Until you have your own child
and hold it's small hand

They learn, soon enough...I remember my daughter telling me to quit calling her "baby" at age 18...then at 20, she had her own.  Now, now, she knows...and called one day, and said, "Mom?  You can still call me baby, if you wish."

(tears of joy fall down my cheeks) Oh my gosh, now I'm crying because of your most gorgeous and loving debut, dearest friend, though I am only 19 and haven't reached that time to become a father yet, I dream so much of having children in the future so I can give more love and know even more how much my mom and dad love me, and I understand how growing up and letting go can be difficult, but know always your children will love you with all their hearts! (big hugggsssssss) This is beautiful, sweet friend, I love it! Welcome to Passions, sweet Julia, may you be inspired by all of us here as we will all be inspired by your lovely words! I can't wait to read more of your lovely poetry, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Julia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Julia  . . . Welcome to PIP!
Soo good to see you here
Oh you have touched a soft spot here
as I gaze upon my own little hand that
I have to hold, you have caused me to
be grateful for these times
For this, I thank you

Beautiful writing

Until you have your own child
and hold it's small hand

absolutely beautiful
